The Virtuous Woman had many qualities – both spiritual and physical. She could be trusted, she was diligent, she was a servant, she was resourceful, she was wise, and she was kind. She could sew, plant crops, cook, sell her merchandise, and see to the household affairs. The list grows as we study Proverbs 31:10-31.
With this in mind, I would like to feature posts that would help young ladies become Virtuous Women. These posts may include (but are not limited) to:
~Devotionals
~Essays
~Craft how-to’s
~Cleaning tips
Has the Lord been teaching you something recently? Has He gifted you in writing or photography? If so, please prayerfully consider submitting your work to be posted on Rubies Like Ruth.
Due to the many differences in convictions and standards, it is necessary to list the standard that we are trying to follow on Rubies Like Ruth. Please read these guidelines carefully before submitting your material.
Article Guidelines:
1. Submit all written material in “Word” format.
2. Use only the KJV Bible.
3. Stay away from controversial topics.
“From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?” (James 4:1) Any submissions touching on controversial topics will not be considered for posting
4. Make sure your submission lines up with our statement of faith.
5. Speak pleasant words!
“Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.” (Proverbs 16:24)
a) When using people as examples refrain from using real names (without permission), speaking negatively about them, and remember to “speak the truth in love” (Ephesians 4:15)
b) Adhere to Exodus 20:7 (“Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain”) and refrain from using curse words or other “ugly” words.
c) We will post stories, however in accordance with Philippians 4:8 (“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”) we will be very limited in our selection of fictitious stories. We will not post fantasy or stories with violence.
d) In your articles/stories, please refrain from using situations that go against God’s Word. If you have any such situations, we will be more likely to post your work if it resolves in the end (Example: a disobedient child realizes his violation to God’s Word and changes; a rebellious teen acknowledges her sin and repents).
