Verse for Today

"I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go; I will guide thee with mine eye." Psalm 32:8

Our Statement of Faith

God
There is one and only one true and living God. The eternal triune God reveals Himself as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
~God the Father: God is the creator of the world. He is all-powerful, all-knowing, all-loving, and all-wise. (Genesis 1:1, Psalm 47:7-8)
~God the Son: Jesus is the Son of God Who was born of a virgin. He lived a perfect, sinless life, and was crucified to pay the penalty of man’s sin. (Isaiah 7:14, 1 Timothy 2:5-6)
~God the Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit convicts men of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment. After man’s salvation, the Holy Spirit works in the heart of man. (1 Corinthians 2:10-11)

Man
God created man in His image. By his free choice, man sinned against God and brought sin to the human race. Only the grace of God can bring man into His holy fellowship and enable man to fulfill the creative purpose of God. For this reason, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die to pay the penalty for man’s sin. (Genesis 3, Romans 5:14-15)

Salvation
Salvation is a free gift offered to all who will receive this gift. For man to accept Christ as his personal Savior, he must admit that he is a sinner, repent (turn away) from his sins, believe in Jesus, and confess that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. The man that does not accept Christ will die and go to an eternal, literal hell. The man that accepts Christ as his Savior will live eternally with Him in heaven.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” (Romans 3:23)
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.” (Romans 5:8-9)
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” (Romans 10:9)

The Bible
The Bible is the inspired Word of God, given to man. It is inerrant, infallible, and eternal. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, Psalm 119:89)

Eternity
Jesus Christ will return to earth, the dead will be raised, and He will judge all men in righteousness! Those that have trusted in Him as their Savior will return with Him to heaven to live eternally. All those who have rejected Him will be sentenced to an eternal punishment in a literal hell. (Acts 17:31, James 5:8)
